GGUSD Board Action:

For well over a year and a half, GGEA educators have been concerned about the impact the pandemic has had on their students academically as well as their socio-emotional health. Hundreds of millions of dollars of federal and state aid has been and is available to deal with these specific issues.

GGEA Members packed the School Board Room and the lobby for last Tuesday’s School board Meeting to ask the district leadership to support our students.

Our classrooms need support in the form of hiring more teachers and full time aides which would help alleviate some of the larger class sizes and combination classes.

The following made public comment at the GGUSD Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 and their videos are below:

  • Donny Terranove, HS Educator
  • Kristy Gladysz, Ed Specialist
  • Kelly Nolan, GGEA President
  • Bridget Holdermann, GGEA Bargaining Chair
  • Sarah Held, GGEA Elementary Segment Director
